Manchette

TUMBLR was a web 2.0 site that allowed you to show a collection of images or videos that you could view by scrolling. In this, it can be considered the ancestor of an application like Instagram, although less formatted than this one in the way it organizes these collections of content.

TUMBLR, which takes the name of the defunct site as its title, is a set which links a frame with a digitally cut passe-partout and a postcard selected from second-hand dealer stands in the same way as one browses and takes the images from Internet.

Thus, the subject of TUMBLR is less what the images represent, the passe-partout of the frame showing a monochrome print, than this way of browsing almost infinite sets of content.
