Stoane is a series of sculptures created by students at the J.J. School of Art in Bombay. Initially, they were asked to buy a soap off the shelf and copy it to scale 1.

They were then encouraged to use the soap to wash themselves for three weeks, and to copy it again in its used state.

By its very nature, Photography is often divided into two categories: documentary photography and artistic photography.

Stoane is a way of applying this same division to Sculpture.
