Altered container for “Nageire” style compositions originates from a standard drinking glass shape. In collaboration with master glassmakers Christophe Lemaitre and Aurélien Mole, altered versions of these everyday objects are produced to hold “Nageire” style floral compositions.

Nageire is a classic style of Ikebana that is distinguished by its simplicity and natural elegance. Its name, meaning “to throw in,” reflects the way the stems are spontaneously inserted into a tall, narrow vase, creating curved and dynamic lines.

This composition features three main branches, traditionally symbolizing the sky, man, and earth, while emphasizing asymmetry and the balance of empty spaces. The aim is to suggest the ephemeral beauty of nature, with a minimalist and poetic approach.

One of the techniques used by ikebana masters is sometimes to break the stem so that it emerges horizontally from the vase containing it.
