Re-fondation (Aquarelle) is a scarf purchased at a flea market after the flea market dealer realized that a recent downpour had caused the precious limited-edition scarf by artist Sonia Delaunay to fade.

The accident modifies the composition by adding nuance to a two-tone graphic motif. This softens abstraction in painting, whose proponents are first and foremost men.
