Stud is a book compiling photographs by Aurélie Jacquet and Aurélien Mole taken when they were students, in 2012-2015 and 2000-2003 respectively, at the École Nationale Supérieure de Photographie in Arles. The selection of images made by each from the other's archives is designed by Syndicat.
Alan Eglinton, himself a former student, conducts an interview with Nick Wapplington that sheds light on the notion of the retrospective gaze that this book could be about. Or are we talking about those images we make to learn photography?
The book consists of 11 notebooks of 16 pages each. 10 of these are bound in a random order, making each of the 300 copies unique.
