Us is the name of a bookcase, a piece of furniture of Bauhausso-Memphissian inspiration that grows from the front and decreases in profile. It is presented empty in Lendroit éditions’ exhibition space; it is worth for the sculptural aspect, the way of occupying space, of playing with solids and voids in the manner of a minimal sculpture of the first period of Robert Morris.
But Us isn’t meant to stay empty, Lendroit éditions can use it to exhibit editions. People will probably bump into its feet, bump lightly against his shoulders and scratch his satin black surface.

Us should also be able to be used as a support for a reflection around the book launch. The events that accompany the publication of a book where the author is present or not, where someone speaks or not, reads a few excerpts or not, where there is food and drinks or not. Why not also consider this moment as a form? And take the opportunity to relaunch books that we feel are relevant for the present time? Think of the launch not as a form of promotion but as a form of exhibition. Us could be the support of these books and the events that accompany could be their exhibition. A meeting point.
