Description
Contenant altéré pour composition de style « Nageire »

Throughout the course, visitors can observe the delicately balanced flowers arranged by Christophe Lemaitre and Aurélien Mole. The “Nageire” style compositions are created without artifice, sometimes simply by breaking the stems of the flowers against the vase, creating a strange relationship between a minimalist sculpture and its base (the container).

"Life is a sketch without a finished work, a first draft without revision, and with no eternity other than being thrown away, at the very moment it ends... There is no rehearsal for living, and we will not do better next time. Living is not a work of art, loving and suffering are not an art... It is essential to art that we can start over, redo, correct, cancel. This is what life never allows," writes André Comte-Sponville. A variation and extension of the Plage project carried out at the Mac/Val last April, at the invitation of the Cneai, Les occupantes is a series of transparent containers designed to hold these broken flowers. The project becomes an exhibition when flowers stolen from the Île des Impressionnistes are inserted and positioned in these containers for a time, thus becoming the very motif of their vase; the exhibition ends when the flowers wilt.
