Polly Smith, a fictional artist who claims to be just that, is above all a pretext for an exhibition; she has no defining characteristics of her own. She was born out of the idea of offering an additional interpretation of the group exhibition, a recurring theme in the Bureau's exhibitions. From there, two complementary perspectives are possible: to adhere to the fictional contract and view the exhibition as the result of the diverse practice of a single person, Polly Smith; or to approach each practice individually and consider the interaction between the works and artists. Chloé Dugit-Gros, Arnaud Dupont, Karim Ghelloussi, Jean-François Leroy, Julien Tiberi, and Steve Veloso were invited based on a chain of associations. The Super space will feature a studio display, combining completed works and projects in progress, reference books, and objects chosen by the artists.
